The Retreat at Balcones Springs has cabins on-site that will be able to house some of our wedding guests. Although we (Jen and Jake) would LOVE to be able to offer a cabin to every guest, there are unfortunately not enough cabins to accommodate all our guests. Thus, we are offering cabins first to our family members and wedding party (and their families). If there are cabins available after that, we will offer them to additional guests. If you do not hear from Jen, Jake, Luann, Paula, or Casey with an offer to stay in a cabin, please plan to book a hotel room (or other arrangement of your choice). If you have a strong desire or specific need to stay in a cabin, please tell Jake or Jen. We cannot make promises at this point, but we will certainly do our best to try to accommodate your need/desire!

· Guests can choose to spend 1, 2, or 3 nights in the cabins (Thursday night 3/7, Friday night 3/8, and/or Saturday night 3/9).

· Each cabin is decorated and includes Tempur-Pedic mattress toppers, adjustable individual A/C and heat, refrigerators, toiletries, and free Wi-Fi access.

· The cabins can each sleep one to six guests with a combination of one king sized bed and/or one to six twin sized beds.

· Ground floor cabins can accommodate wheelchairs.

· The cabins cost $286.16 per night for double occupancy (2 guests). This rate includes all tax and an 18% retreat fee.

· Each additional adult/adolescent guest in a cabin (13 years and older) is $55.00 per night (pre-tax).

· Each additional child guest in a cabin (age 4-12 years) is $33.00 per night (pre-tax).

· Child guests under the age of 4 years are free!

· The cost of the cabins per night includes a full breakfast and lunch on-site. (For example, guests who stay in the cabins on Thursday night will be served breakfast and lunch on Friday. Guests who stay in the cabins on Friday night will be served breakfast and lunch on Saturday. (FYI- all other wedding guests will also be invited to the lunch on Saturday for a charge that Jen/Jake will cover.) Dinner on Friday and Saturday nights will be provided for all wedding guests (i.e., the welcome dinner and the reception dinner). (The only meal for which cabin guests will be “on their own” is Thursday night dinner for those who want to arrive on Thursday.)

· The beginning check-in time for the cabins is 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. The check-out time is by 11:00 AM on the day of departure.

1. Jen and Jake (or one of their “proxies!”) will reach out to you to ask if you and your family members would like to stay in a cabin. (If you do not want a cabin, no problem at all!)

2. If you do want a cabin, please give the following information to either Luann (for the Haileys and Campbells), Paula or Jake (for the Sosnoffs), Casey (for the Obermeiers), or Jen/Jake (for wedding party/friends):

a. The names of each person who will be sharing a cabin (each

cabin can hold one to six people).

b. The preferred combination of beds in the cabin (each cabin can hold a maximum of one king bed and/or one to six twin beds).

c. Whether or not a ground-floor cabin is needed.

d. Desired check-in date for the cabin (Thursday 3/7, Friday 3/8, or Saturday 3/9).

3. Luann, Paula, and Casey will report the information back to Jen/Jake.

4. Jen/Jake will assign cabins to each group of people and report cabin assignments to The Retreat. (Jen/Jake will try their best to assign cabins so that larger groups of family members and friends can stay together in cabin “clusters!” They may not be able to keep family/friend groups together perfectly, but they will do their best!)

5. Starting on January 31, 2024, one representative from each cabin can call or e-mail The Retreat to make an “official” reservation for their cabin. The phone number to call is: 830-693-6639. The e-mail address is: info@texasretreat.com. The Retreat will have a list of which cabin number is assigned to each group of people. (However, The Retreat will not tell guests their cabin number until the day of check-in just in case any changes need to be made leading up to the wedding weekend.) The Retreat might need a credit card number to keep on file for each cabin.
