One of the nice things about getting married in our mid/late thirties is that we have already had the opportunity to acquire most of the household items that we need! Thus, we decided to simply set up two funds for projects/events that feel meaningful to us. Still, we truly do not want any of our wedding guests to feel obligated to give us a gift; your presence at our wedding and/or support of our marriage is honestly the best gift to us!
